Trolley Management Services

Our team provides trolley management services to over 140 retail stores nationwide, enabling us to offer a competitive servicing cost but more importantly, improved and efficient trolley service delivery. Our management app monitors and audits all sites to ensure that our teams are delivering our industry-leading standard of service.

We work closely with Store and Regional Managers at each facility to ensure that our teams are integrated into each particular site, ensuring best-fit solutions for our partners.

We offer full store support, with experienced and trained staff available onsite for all service issues and prompt resolution turnaround time. All sites are overseen by a Team Leader, Area Manager, Supervisor and Operations Manager to ensure a high level of service at every store, every day.

Cloud-Based Technology

We make use of cloud-based technology, which provides an efficient platform to manage trolley collection services among all our teams from a single point. From monitoring attendance of staff, trolley counts, trolley cleaning and more, we provide various customised audits. This reduces the time it takes to identify problems and ensures that we can provide solutions or feedback for any issues.

We provide live reports on various aspects such as trolley cleaning, trolley maintenance, trolley recoveries, patrols, and site visits. This ensures that both client and United Cleaning & Trolley Services are completing their respective scorecards and fulfilling their contract in terms of the Service Agreement.

We can monitor our recovery drivers and pinpoint key positions to recover stolen trolleys. Using the app and a tracker on the vehicle, we can generate reports, images and likely locations of the trolleys. The below example depicts the route, images and report of trolleys found on our recovery.

We can install QR codes or NFC tags in and around each store and designate a patrol route to ensure that our team on the ground is checking various areas of the centre for standing trolleys. This provides a report (above) and this information becomes very useful in terms of knowing which areas the customers park, or if other retailers are using trolleys in their receiving yards.

Below is a patrol for Boksburg East Rand Mall.

The app sends an SMS notification when a patrol has not started on time to the area manager. If the patrol still has not started 30 minutes later, this gets escalated and an SMS notification gets sent to the Supervisor for follow up action.

Trolley Repairs

Major repairs are taken to our designated repair centres where our on-site maintenance team can repair all shopping trolleys. We weld broken shopping trolleys; replace spares with top quality shopping trolley parts and accessories, as well as paint trolleys to client specifications.

Our experienced repair teams have extensive knowledge repairing all types of trolleys. Our area managers are equipped with toolboxes, which mean immediate repairs can be done to ensure all trolleys are kept in a safe operating condition.

We Can Effectively Maintain Your Shopping Trolley Fleet:

Our teams are trained in identifying dangerous and damaged trolleys.
When servicing, we check every single trolley – not just the damaged ones.

Trolleys that cannot be repaired on site and which needs either welding, panel beating or spray painting, will be transported to our repair centre for these repairs and re-delivered to store once completed. All trolleys removed from a store will have the necessary documentation completed.
